  6.               UPGRADING from WEATHER PROL V2.0 or later
  7.               -----------------------------------------

  9. 1. Unzip this package to a temporary, empty directory.  To set up the
  10.      empty directory, just enter, for instance, MD C:\WXTEMP.
  11. 2. Copy WEATHER.PLT from your old directory or your registered disk
  12.      to the temporary directory.
  13. 3. If you would like to keep your customized city listing, copy WEATHER.CTY
  14.      from the old directory to the temporary directory.
  15. 4. The old WEATHER.STN list is -NOT- compatible with Weather Pro V3.0.
  16. 5. Run WEATHER in the temporary directory to make sure everything runs
  17.      properly.
  18. 6. If all looks OK, delete everything in your old directory and copy all
  19.      contents of the temporary directory to the old directory.  Then
  20.      delete the temporary directory.

  26.    This is a rather extensive update, since the philosophy and structure
  27. of the program has changed, along with the name.  
  28.  
  29.    To update your program, make a new directory, preferably C:\WEATHER,
  30. and unzip this entire package into it.  Then follow these instructions. 
  31.  
  32.    1. MANDATORY!!!  Copy RADAR.PLT from your old directory, renaming it to 
  33.         WEATHER.PLT in the new one.  You can use a command like:
  34.         COPY C:\RADSCAN\RADAR.PLT C:\WEATHER\WEATHER.PLT
  35.    
  36.    2. If you have customized your town and city list, copy RADAR.CTY from 
  37.         the old directory to WEATHER.CTY in the new one.  Allow it to 
  38.         overwrite the old file.  
  39.    
  40.    3. Your new program is WEATHER.EXE in the new directory.  Read the
  41.         enclosed WEATHER.DOC and type WEATHER by itself to run the program. 
  42.  
  43.    4. When you get a chance, delete RadarScan from your disk drive as you'll
  44.         no longer need it.  
  45.  
  46. Changes RadarScan users might want to be aware of:
  47.  
  48.    * Your data file is no longer RADAR.TXT, but DATA.TXT.
  49.    * There are no command line parameters anymore.  However, if your data 
  50.        is not in DATA.TXT, specify it by adding it to the end of the WEATHER
  51.        startup command (e.g. WEATHER 04JUL92.DAT).
  52.    * You do not need to memorize the time for the weather data.  Weather
  53.        Pro will accurately figure it out for you.
  54.    * All commands are now keystroke-driven.  Once inside the program, you
  55.        can plot or look at maps or change the configuration.  See WEATHER.DOC
  56.        for further details.
